A Program to Scale Up your Business or Start a Business through Social Franchising Opportunities.

Are you looking for opportunities to scale your business as an entrepreneur? While getting support to scale up your business, you can also create job opportunities for the B40 communities.

This opportunity can be achieved by non-other than PUSH program (Pemangkin Usahawan Sosial Hebat) a collaboration program introduced by Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC) and myHarapan. On 22nd November 2018, there will be an open day designed for entrepreneurs to find out more about the program.


What to expect at PUSH Open Day:

  1. Scaling Up Your Business through Social Franchising Model You can understand how to scale up your existing enterprise by using the social franchising model, enabling the B40 community to co-own your business. In that way, not only you can scale up the operation, generate more revenue to sustain the business, you can also provide job opportunities to the B40 community.
  2. Pitch your Business and Gain Access to Capital  You can share about the story and operation of your business during the open day. By getting your business known, you will get yourself one step forward to be eligible to participate in PUSH program. That makes it easier for you to gain access to capital and expand your existing market as most of the important stakeholders will be present during the open day.
  3. Receive Training to Become a Business Owner  You can get to know about the existing business during the open day and decide to become a micro business owner. You will receive short term training opportunities provided potentially by MaGIC, myHarapan and partners to guide your through your entrepreneurship journey. Be it expanding the business reach, operations, marketing and even soft skills training.

Example of current Impact Driven Enterprise with PUSH program: Food and Beverage Business 22070062_520570348291263_2209345711231729664_nThis enterprise called Abang Tukang Masak creates job opportunities for the unemployed graduate and underprivileged youths where these youth will have the opportunity to undergo 6 months of training in culinary arts.

Impact that they have created:

  • 13 employed from marginalised communities
  • 3 outlets in operation – Sungai Buloh, Paya Jaras, and Tesco Kepong
  • Employees get 100% above the minimum wage

You can learn about Yuhaso Enterprise model and start running this business too.  Apart from that, you can also train the underserved youth with technical skills in order to become professional auto-detailers.

Impact that they have created:

  • 10 youths employed from the B40 community
  • 1 outlet in operation – Seberang Jaya, Penang
  • Training 4 more youths with technical skills
